Musical Madness!

Music, music, music, I need more music.

Music is a good thing. No, scratch that, music keeps me going, keeps me sane, breathes into me and dances a path through my soul. I do not really need music. I could live without it, albeit miserably.  I desire music. I chase music. I sleep with music playing, clean with music playing, study with music playing, exercise with music playing, and I create my own music when there is no music playing. I love the way an instrument sounds while somebody runs their fingers or lips across it. I love the way a guitar rests on my leg as I strum the strings to create a melodic rhythm that soothes my pain. I love the way the ivory keys of a piano seem to resonate into my very body and cleanse me from the inside out, like window wash on a dirty windshield. I love live music, acoustic music, electric music, synthesizers, steel guitars, percussion, bass, pianos, flutes, saxophones, even glockenspiels.

Country, Jazz, Broadway, Gothic Symphonic Rock, Punk, Indie, Pop, Gospel, Oldies, Foreign. If it has a heartbeat, a pulse, a rhythm, a melody, and I can feel it inside of me it is only a matter of time before it is a part of me.

THAT BEING SAID: I have a goal. Well, another goal.

I am saving up to buy myself a 76-key Yamaha keyboard, with a 6-track sequencer and five different master equalizer settings.

What does this mean?: I’m going to try to start recording some of the songs I have been writing throughout my life and possibly share them on YouTube, because I feel like it. I do not have any intentions to become famous, I do not plan to leave my home to start a career in music, but I feel like sharing. I feel like sharing, because there is so much music inside of me that I need to let it out now.

I am keeping my day job (I LOVE IT!), I am not giving up photography (in fact, this whole music-sharing thing will give me more opportunities to use my new Canon EOS 7D) or art, and I am not even saying I will be any good.

I’ll never know until I try. 🙂 Here’s to getting my feet wet, in the hopefully-sometime-soon-future.

Happy Adventures,

You really think so? Because I actually have the worst stage fright ever, and I am still trying to get over it. I have been taking voice lessons since November with only one person in the room. Even with that one other person I freak out a little, and she says that when she sings with me I give more and when she stops singing with me I back off. 😛

I am hoping that since I will be alone while doing these videos that the “stage fright” won’t be as bad.

I’m Tweeting (Yikes!)

  • So, I started going by my middle name in college because I've always liked it better. Now I'm Renée, and can be tweeted at "teafaellana." 3 years ago
  • I keep reading fanfics to tide me over until #OUaT is back. I can't wait to see more character development of Regina! #EvilRegals 4 years ago
  • This has somehow been the best and worst Thanksgiving I've ever had, all at once. 4 years ago

The Blogger

Smile about what you are thankful for, and never forget you are a dreamer.

I am a girl on a mission, and the mission I am on is to be myself. I am an undiscovered treasure, and here I am giving you a key that will allow you a little further into the labyrinth of who I am.

Heather loves hats that are designed to look like cute animals, fairy wings, cheese pizza, swimming in ponds, roller blading, taking silly self-portraits, learning, spending time with people, and just about everything else too. Heather does not love ... well, there isn't a lot that she doesn't love. You can probably figure it out after a little while!
