Ronald McDonald House: Pictures!

February 13, 2011 at 11:53 PM 2 comments

Today a group of young people and supervising adults visited the Ronald McDonald House to prepare a meal for the families staying there. This is always one of my favorite things to do. We get to cook, and we also get to serve the meals to the people. I enjoy sitting and eating with them, just talking and lifting their spirits. These families are going through so much. They are really strong people, and many of them travel from quite the distance. I am so inspired by everyone who makes the Ronald McDonald House possible, and even more inspired by the strong-hearted families who need to use it for whatever reason they may need to.

Happy Adventures,
Burkie

I LOVE The Ronald McDonald House. Twice, our family stayed there.

Joy, pure joy is how I would describe having a private, quiet space to rest and recover, even if only for a few hours before racing back to the hospital – not the comfort of a hot meal, access to a fabulous kitchen and many smiles and hugs.

    Thank you.

      Oh Candee,

You are an amazing woman. You and your family deserved every bit of that private, quiet space. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

I’m Tweeting (Yikes!)

  • So, I started going by my middle name in college because I've always liked it better. Now I'm Renée, and can be tweeted at "teafaellana." 3 years ago
  • I keep reading fanfics to tide me over until #OUaT is back. I can't wait to see more character development of Regina! #EvilRegals 3 years ago
  • This has somehow been the best and worst Thanksgiving I've ever had, all at once. 3 years ago
